Maintenance Technician
Reports to:
Maintenance Manager

Job Purpose Summary:
Maintain machines, equipment and plant facility in appropriate working and safe conditions.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Follow Predictive and Preventive Maintenance program/schedule for equipment. While performing the work pay attention to other potential issues and communicate to avoid unnecessary downtime and / or potential safety issues.
- Review and perform work order requests as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required and find out the priority.
- Follow all applicable work instructions to complete the maintenance tasks
- Raise any equipment safety concerns to the Maintenance Manager immediately.
- Complete and sign work orders/update records upon completion of maintenance work in Plex
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly inspections on facility/plant equipment as required, maintaining records of inspections
- Assume other responsibilities and tasks as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the Company
- May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as requested
- Responsibilities as outlined in Accurate's Quality Management System per SOP40003, Core Training Matrix (roles and responsibilities to satisfy IATF 16949)
- Keep professionally informed and update skills on an ongoing basis
Expectations:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum five years' experience in a Maintenance role
- Direct experience in processes: stamping presses, moulding, tapping and welding facility is required
- Basic understanding of English language (oral and written)
- Basic Computer skills
- Must be physically capable of performing the work required
Certifications:
Millwright or Electrical certificate of qualification is an asset
Working Conditions & Equipment used
The employee is exposed to high noise levels from operating machines and on the plant floor.
Potential hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, nuisance dust, and skin exposure to cutting and drawing oils.
The employee is required to stand, walk, pull and bend to the floor and should have the ability to lift 30 pounds.
The employee is expected to follow all health and safety rules and regulations as outlined in the Accurate Machine and Tool Handbook Manual and as outlined by the Occupational Health & Safety Act in effect.
Salary:
$26.00-$30.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Markham, ON L3R 0H3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Maintenance: 5 years (preferred)
