As a member of the Research and Innovation Cores operations team, the Business Analyst position supports business development efforts as well as the implementation of tools and resources that enable effective and harmonized business operations.

The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting achievement of business development goals and for project managing assigned programs of work.


Key Responsibilities

Project Management accountabilities

  • Coordinates resources, tools and people, as assigned, throughout the entire project lifecycle while tracking roadblocks and monitoring, and reporting progress.
  • Prepares project plan and timelines including critical paths, milestones and associated reports.
  • Monitors project outcomes, identifies risks and proposes solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Conducts validation exercises to properly manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
  • Coordinates crossdisciplinary teams to ensure parties are on track with project requirements to ensure flawless execution of projects.
  • Coordinate the development of manuals, guidance documents and other relevant documents.
  • Creates and maintain project documentation and prepare project outlines, objective, summaries, presentation slides, product demos, charters and other documents throughout the entire project life cycle.
  • Reports and escalate to management as needed.

Business Operations accountabilities

  • Collects, maintains and analyzes data and recommend necessary adjustments to ensure business tools generate reliable outcomes.
  • Coordinates the necessary steps to ensure business operations are delivered according to established operational standards.
  • Liaise with team members, as necessary, to timely address stakeholder's service needs.
  • Prepares regular reports relevant assigned business tools and activities
  • Identifies gaps and proposes relevant solutions.
  • Prepares briefing notes, workflows and presentations.
  • Attends meetings and prepares minutes and followups on actions.
  • Reports and escalate to management as needed.

Other Responsibilities

  • Performs crossfunctional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested.
  • Participates and contributes on assigned project teams or committees by assisting in the development of guidelines, processes and operational standards.
  • Assist teams in defining tactics to attract clients, generating leads and expanding client base.
  • Coordinate activities ensuring quality content is part of all forms of marketing including but not limited to social media marketing.
  • Prepare marketing materials and communication files, as assigned (documents, presentation slides, webbased tools, brochures, fact sheets).
  • Provides assistance and / or training to designated staff members.
