Description:

The Video Presenter and Curator is responsible for planning, coordinating, producing and presenting video content for TWN (The Weather Network) TV Apps.

You will be on the forefront of the future of the big screen across an evolving media landscape.

You will be responsible for driving our content on the TWN FAST channel within the TV Apps ecosystem which will include curating content within a playlist as well as presenting content which will play within the experience.

This role requires you to work from Wednesday to Sunday from 7 AM to 3 PM EST. _**
WHAT'S THE DAY TO DAY LIKE?:

Curate content on a daily basis and make editorial decisions for our TWN TV Apps platform.
Plan your content strategy for each week to ensure the needs of the viewers are met within the FAST channel experience.
Increase our audience engagement by curating the best content and creating compelling video content, it's all about engagement
Produce video content that works within our Content Strategy.
Produce and present many types of videos for a diverse range of clients including TV, Digital and Sales/sponsorship opportunities
Present in a nearlive workflow.
Create video content using a mobile switcher (Blackmagic ATEM mini). Have good knowledge of editing systems to clip and create graphical overlays.
Engage in opportunities to develop original content and concepts for all platforms.
You will be able to shoot and edit your own video packages for all platforms.
Plan, oversee and take responsibility for all aspects of the content, ensuring high standards are met.
Continuously monitor information sources and weather data to ensure the accurate, credible and timely presentation and production of video content
Monitor emerging technologies and trends and investigate ways to incorporate within our TV Apps and Digital properties
Participate in regular air checks, team meetings and Quality Assurance sessions when scheduled.
Prolonged hours during active weather may be required
May be required to work on special projects including feature production and promotional content

WE ARE HOPING YOU HAVE:

College diploma or university degree in Communications/Journalism/Television Production
Minimum 3 years professional experience shooting/editing is a must Proven editing skills Proficient in After Effects, Final Cut, Adobe Premiere etc.
Strong graphic design skills using Photoshop or equivalent program
You experienced in current video production trends, including vertical video etc.
Minimum 3 years of experience in TV and Digital newsrooms, understanding of digital platform and video influence
You have a flexible schedule Severe weather creates a 24/7 environment
