Overview

The primary role of the Accounts Payable clerk is to accurately process invoices in a timely manner, ensure controls are present and ensure that invoice is coded accurately.

This person would be a member of the accounts payable team that provides timely information to operations and to the finance team.


Responsibilities:


  • Process vendor invoices daily
  • Review invoices to ensure that proper authorization is present signatures, PO completion
  • Verify that the correct general ledger codes are utilized by the operations team
  • Communicate and submit information to operations using our accounting system
  • Develop and maintaining positive working relationships with vendors on outstanding issues or matters.
  • Use your excel skills to integrate work functions with the accounting system using uploads
  • Review vendor statements to ensure completeness and timeliness
  • Provide support to other team members as required.

Qualifications:


  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment and enjoy working with our team across our group of companies in various work functions.
  • Desire to do more than just process invoices but rather to address the controls that provide the comfort to management that the information is accurate and up to date; and to critically review the data.
  • Strong excel and computer skills
  • Prior accounts payable experience would be an asset
  • Completion of a college diploma in accounting would be an asset, or similar work experience
  • Must be located within a reasonable commutable distance.
