WONDERING WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
Your role will require you to bring a high standard of scientific excellence to your daily work. These responsibilities will be in your domain.

  • Data management including the creation, manipulation, organization, storage, and quality control of spatial datasets.
  • Creating and updating cartographic products.
  • Conducting spatial analyses including developing, updating and executing spatial data models, including scripting, for a wide variety of disciplines.
  • Working as a member of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with your colleagues to maximize work productivity and quality.

THE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

  • Technical Diploma or Degree centered on GIS and Environmental Sciences.
  • 5 or more years' consulting/engineering experience producing cartographic products, working with spatial data, and conducting spatial analyses and modelling.
  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop 10 and ArcGIS Pro (including Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst)
  • Experience with ArcGIS Online, with Survey 123 and Collector, and with ArcGIS enterprise is an asset.
  • Experience with open source suite (i.e., QGIS, GRASS, and PostGIS) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of remote sensing techniques and experience working with CAD drawings is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to recommend and describe complex GIS techniques and analytical methods to nontechnical staff.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality, and excellence are key attributes.
