1to1's team of Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Registered Dietitians, and Therapy Assistants provide services in homes, long-term care facilities, and schools in the Greater Toronto Area to clients of all ages.

Caseload Area

1to1 is currently recruiting part-time, occasional/casual Physiotherapy Assistants in the West York Region (Woodbridge/Vaughan/Maple/Concord ) under secure Ministry funding. Physiotherapy therapy is offered in the community. The PTA is supervised by a Registered Physiotherapist.

Key Responsibilities

Implement various treatment plans under the supervision of the Physiotherapist using best practice guidelines and clinical expertise
Actively engaging in client/family instruction to address clientcentered goals
Documentation (SOAP notes) of treatments and client progress after each session.

Key Qualifications

Must be a graduate and hold a Certificate from an approved PTA/OTA Program from a Canadian College or Accredited Institute
Preferred 1 year of experience working as a PTA with clients with complex injuries/diagnoses
General knowledge of mobility aids and assistive equipment
Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Superior communication, problemsolving, time management, and documentation skills
Have access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license
Proof of professional liability insurance
Completion of a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
