_Procurement Specialist_

***This position supports national procurement activities under the leadership of the Procurement Manager and in close cooperation with division Business leaders, with a focus on corporate spend such as travel, office supplies, warehouse consumables and some project-related spend in limited areas where advantages can be gained through economies of scale.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide sourcing and procurement support for goods and services related to Travel, Warehouse and other assigned categories.
- Issue POs and receive invoices for approved suppliers
- Oversee the supplier onboarding process
- Responsible for monthly financial reporting for Procurement managed programs
- Credit card receipt reconciliation
- Analyze and maintain warehouse inventory stock levels using statistical data extracted from different sources
- Support supplier RFx preparation, analysis, negotiation, contract awards and implementation
- Draft and finalize contracts for execution by stakeholders, management and legal
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships to achieve cost, quality, service, and ontime delivery targets
- Manage performance metrics to measure supplier performance
- Collaborate with division operations and field teams to support project procurement and sourcing activities
- Maintain and update purchasing policies and procedures
- Perform administrative functions for the department on an as needed basis
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent level of 4 year Post-Secondary education
- Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) designation an asset
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a procurement or strategic sourcing role, preferably within remediation, construction, demolition, emergency response or similar industries
- 23 years of relevant experience in planning and/or demand planning and forecasting
Knowledge
- Previous experience working in ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central, Oracle, and SAP an asset
- Must have strong sourcing, negotiation, and contracting skills
- Experience working with Request for Proposal/Request for Quote documents, contracts, service level and subcontractor agreements
- Familiar with US/Canada import/export processes and documentation
- Experience working with time management or internal ticketing software an asset

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is primarily in an office environment but requires occasional travel to work sites and other office locations.
