How you will contribute


You will be the point of contact for multiple internal and external locations on quality related topics, ensuring products meet design, food safety and quality policy requirements.

In this role, you will support R&D to design products, specifications and capabilities to bring consumer-inspired quality to life.

To excel in this role, you will drive implementation of regional and global strategies; identify, report, monitor and direct corrective and preventive actions associated with quality KPIs, and partner with cross-functional internal and external business partners (R&D, regulatory, marketing and manufacturing) to meet our quality agenda.

In addition, you will lead regional quality programs; share best practices among manufacturing sites through quality benchmarking; manage special situations and early warnings with respect to plant investigations, root-cause analysis and follow-up to protect Mondelēz International and our consumers, and; be an ambassador, driving quality and sharing expertise with colleagues to ensure that quality improvement becomes an instinctive culture across the business.

  • Business acumen and influencing and negotiating
  • Auditing certification or equivalent experience is a decided advantage

This position should be located in the GTA, preferable close to Hamilton as plant visits are needed frequently

_Primary Responsibilities _

  • Quality representative on Category Commercialization Teams, ensuring all Category products meet design, food safety and quality policy requirements as defined by the I2M commercialization process.
  • Provide leadership on driving quality programs and training with plants and business partners in areas including Consumer inspired quality initiatives, Compliance to specifications, Measurement systems analysis, Statistical process controls, Quality Chain Management Systems, Integrated Lean Six Sigma, product traceability, net weight control, HACCP, GMP's, Control of nonconforming product.
  • Works with R&D to help design specifications and capability to bring consumer inspired quality to life
  • Works with engineering to help design new equipment specifications to meet product quality expectations and participate in failure mode effects analysis sessions (FMEAs)
  • Monitors, reports consumer
    / customer contacts/trends and identifies and directs appropriate corrective/preventive action plans with cross functional partners (R&D, Marketing, Operations)
  • Leads Quality programs and training at both Internal and External manufacturing sites: QCMS, product traceability, weight control, HACCP, GMPs, Plant QIPs, Sanitation and Regulatory Compliance. Facilitates sharing of best practices between different sites
  • Provides audit support to sites and facilitates identified corrective/preventive action plans.
  • Contributes to the management of special situations / early warnings with respect to plant investigations, root cause analysis and followup for the SSMT, protecting Mondelez International and consumers

_Qualifications/Abilities __:
_**- B.S. degree in Food Science, Engineering, Microbiology, Chemistry or other related Sciences

  • Minimum 4 years related experience (Operations, Quality &/or R&D)
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing programs required; knowledge of Mondelēz International Quality policies/procedures or international quality and GFSI standards is desired.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership within crossfunctional teams
  • Knowledge of statistical processes and problem solving techniques, Green belt or Black belt
  • Desired

Travel requirements:
Approx. 25% travel is required to manufacturing sites for quality systems support, audits and product commercialization.
