Position Purpose:


The Leadership Coach/Facilitator works directly with McLean & Company's clients - both HR professionals and leadership at all levels - to improve their leadership effectiveness.

Seventy-Five percent of the role is targeted towards leading one-on-one coaching sessions with leaders.

Twenty-five percent of the role is spent as a facilitator of McLean & Company's leadership development programs such as Management Fundamentals and Elevate HR.


Key Responsibilities:


Leadership Coach (75%):

  • Deliver 1:1 coaching aligned with McLean & Company's coaching program scope and process.
  • Engage in effective coaching conversations with leadership clients, demonstrating active listening skills and asking powerful questions to guide leaders in finding their own solutions to aid their professional development.
  • Support the implementation of coaching projects (lead scoping calls, prepare documentation, manage delivery schedule, coordinate with the client, coordinate with other coaches).
  • Partner with our commercial teams to demonstrate "proof of concept" for our products and services to potential clients and scope out client engagements.

Facilitator (25%):

  • Facilitate or cofacilitate online and onsite training offerings targeted mainly to leaders and HR audiences using a variety of creative techniques aligned with adult learning principles.

Key Selection Criteria:


  • University degree
  • ICF certification at minimum ACC level
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated 1:1 leadership coaching experience in a corporate/business environment
  • 5 years facilitation experience, preferably online
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating at the leadership level
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources or L&D
  • People management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to assess client needs
  • Collaborative, with superior listening, critical thinking, and writing skills
  • Strong organizational, project and time management skills, with a proven ability to multitask
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make informed decisions that demonstrate a broader scope of contextual and business understanding, rather than just an HR focus
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, flexible, rapidly changing work environment
  • High degree of proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, as you will be working in this daily
