    As a Production Specialist, you will be accountable for managing the Event Technical Services (ETS) equipment inventory. You will be the subject matter expert who forecasts the logistics to carry out the maintenance of special events festival support and sound equipment as well as oversee scheduling of staff for the setup, execution, and teardown of special events using ETS services. Primary duties include:

  • Collect and compile the data for reporting, evaluation and recommendations for maintenance and lifecycle of ETS equipment.
  • Assign, distribute and organize equipment to and from sites to address ETS operations.
  • Prepare, create and fill staffing schedules.
  • Generate estimates and reports for the production equipment maintenance needs and ETS crew required.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and supervise ETS crew performing maintenance and assure safety protocols are being followed.
  • Collect and submit all data for input into the operations budget tracking systems for ETS.
  • Conduct ongoing worksite safety inspections for multiple sites, under varying conditions and act as ETS team safety lead.
  • Manage ETS vehicles and trailers.
  • Qualifications
  • A completed 2 year diploma in Theatre, Film, or Event Management.
  • At least of 3 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD or Vectorworks would be an asset.
  • Advanced product specific knowledge of sound and light systems for large events and infrastructure equipment such as crowd control barriers, temporary structures, and mobile stages would be assets.
  • Strong communication, research and analysis, conflict management, and planning and facilitation skills.
  • Working Conditions: This position requires outdoor work in unsheltered environments in all weather conditions.
