The Executive Assistant II will be responsible for providing senior administrative support to an Executive who provides strategic leadership, guidance and counsel to Executive level positions.

Responsibilities include screening and handling of calls for staff and visitors in the executive's office, prepare, proofread and edit documents and presentations.

In addition, the EAII will coordinate, prepare, distribute materials and provide minute taking for executive meetings and conferences and may prepare materials for Board meetings.

This position will liaise with regional, provincial, and national partners on various matters and will require a keen understanding of the mandates/importance of relationships.

The EAII will be highly organized to prioritize responsiveness, and discernment and diplomacy to effectively and efficiently maintain an executive's office, as well as manage assigned projects and research in support of the Executive and possible Board and/or corporate committees.

This position will act as a resource to other executive administrative staff.

  • Successful completion of twoyear Diploma in Medical, Executive or Office Administration or equivalent as acceptable by the Hospital
  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant, recent secretarial or office experience at a senior level, preferably in a Health Care setting
  • Basic accounting and Human Resources knowledge
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced organization & time management skills
  • Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote), Virtual Platforms (Teams, Sharepoint, etc), PeopleSoft, and Internet/Intranet
  • Demonstrated welldeveloped servicebased interpersonal and communication skills, in person, in writing and by phone
  • Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving and decision making
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, accurately and in a wellorganized manner using project management skills
  • Ability to flex daily work schedule to support Board or Committee meetings as required
  • Demonstrated ability to organize work environment and respect deadlines while maintaining flexibility and adaptability to change
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
