JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMER STUDENT WORKERS

Shawnigan Lake School is looking for energetic and enthusiastic Summer Student Workers to assist in a variety of areas of our School campus.

We have full-time and part-time opportunities available from approximately May through August 2023.

We are seeking Summer Student Workers to assist in these areas:

Maintenance

Painting
Construction
Carpentry
Maintenance
Furniture moves
Mechanical work
Other maintenance projects

Grounds

Watering, weeding and garden clean up
Other landscaping, gardening and groundskeeping projects

Events

Serving
Housekeeping and accommodation turn over
Events set up, take down and clean up
Food delivery
Event decorating
Other events related tasks

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for team members with the following qualities:

Energetic with a willingness to take on new tasks and learn new skills
Team players
Creative problem solvers
Flexibility with work schedule and hours
An adaptable mindset
Aged 16 and older, or will be going into grade 11 or 12 in September 2023. Postsecondary students are also welcome to apply.
Class 5 Driver's License (an asset)
Lifeguarding (an asset)
FoodSafe Level 1 (an asset)
