Description
We are a small, family oriented dental office looking to add a competent and highly motivated dental assistant to our growing team.
You'll be in charge of the 'back' and should be self-driven, well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations.You will have strong communication skills and provide direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.
Must be able to work independently and as part of the team where ever required to ensure a smooth running of the clinic.
Pay negotiable as per experience.We are in the process of upgrading our office and adding new technology and we aspire to grow together as a team
Responsibilities
- Welcome clients in the dental office
- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the dentist through 4handed dentistry
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Provide oral hygiene and postoperative care instructions
- Keep the dental room clean and wellstocked
- Schedule appointments and attend calls whenever required
- Maintain and update accurate patient records
Skills
- Proven experience as dental assistant (minimum 3 years of experience)
- Certified with the Ontario Dental Assistants Association
- National Dental Assistingt Examining Board Certificate (NDAEB)
- HARP approved
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30-40 per week
Salary:
From $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Supplemental pay types:
- Bonus pay
Licence/Certification:
- Certified Dental Assistant (required)
