    GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Millwright III supports and ensures the completion of day-to-day maintenance activities at the plant. The incumbent will be responsible for the installs, fixes, maintains and improves machinery and equipment using lift trucks, hand tools and power tools. Maintains and installs pipes, airlines, vacuum lines and drain lines. Performs preventative and emergency maintenance to automatic, stationary and plant ancillary equipment. Maintains an appropriate level of inventory of parts and supplies.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Standard work procedures and checklists to ensure equipment if functioning properly.
  • Records all information and findings in log.
  • Review work orders to determine which work needs to be performed. Work performed by priority.
  • Make necessary repairs, eg. Welding, set up equipment, assist operators to trouble shoot machine malfunctions
  • Perform pipe maintenance, eg. Install new pipes, air lines, vacuum lines, and drain lines.
  • Communicate with production regarding machine maintenance.
  • Determine if the job can completed by internal resources
  • Document and replenish parts required for repairs.
  • Sources parts and enter in SAP.
  • Create list of pipes and steel required for the facility.
  • Ensure adequate levels of inventory of water treatment chemicals and filters in maintained.
  • Provide project support for capital projects, equipment modifications and any relevant lean initiatives, eg, Small K implementations.
  • Follow safe work procedures and practices
  • Recognize and report hazards
  • Attend health and safety meetings
  • Participate in training, audits and inspections
  • Comply with legal duties and Tremco safety policies and procedures
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned.
  • EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent is required.

    EXPERIENCE: More than 7 years related experience and/or training is required.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Millwright certificate is required.

    OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to troubleshoot electric, air systems, and hydraulic systems
  • Knowledge of lockout/tagout, arc flash requirements, confined space entry and hot work permit
  • Ability to work overtime as needed; ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond urgently to down equipment
  • Effective team player, self-motivated, quick learner
  • Good communication skills with the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, kneel, talk, hear, smell, and lift up to 50 lbs.

    BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION:

    The hourly rate for applicants in this position generally ranges between $38.80 and $44.60. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
