Place Maillardville Society serving the Maillardville neighborhood in Coquitlam, is looking for someone with initiative and expertise to work as a Summer Camp Leader for 8 weeks of summer camp for children 5 to 13 years of age.

Must be able to work along-side and mentor camp volunteers to ensure a safe, fun, and rewarding experience for both volunteers and the children attending camp.

• 2 years progressive experience leading, organizing and planning kids and youth programs.
• Must be kind, fun conscientious team player, with a positive attitude every day.
• Knowledge of common sports, games, crafts, cooking etc.
• Must be able to make programs fun and engaging, and be a mentor to volunteers and participants.
• Must be able to communicate in an effective, professional and friendly manner with kids, parents, supervisors and coworkers.
• Must be able to maintain program discipline and ensure a safe and secure environment for a group of 12 participants.

• Current Standard First-Aid CPR C & AED certificate.
• This position is funded by the 2024 Canada Summer Jobs Grant.
• Applicants must be between 15 and 30 years at start of employment.
• Successful applicants must complete a Police Information Check.
• High Five Training & Food Safe would be an asset.
