We are currently hiring for the position of:

DEVELOPMENT OFFICER, LEADERSHIP GIVING


The Development Officer, Leadership Giving plays a vital role in revenue generation from Individual Donors (under $100,000) by participating in the development, execution, and analysis of engagement and fundraising campaigns, and coordinating the operations of TIFF's Leadership Giving programme, including supporter stewardship.


The position will work closely with various internal teams including: Communications & Marketing, Creative, Visitor Experience, Ticketing Services, Volunteer / Intern Services, Events, and others as required.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Revenue Generation Oversees moves management of Leadership pipeline, developing and executing on customized strategies to identify, cultivate, and solicit annual revenue from existing and new sources Leads on the development and project management of multichannel fundraising and engagement campaigns Meets regularly with prospects and donors to secure support for TIFF's top priority areas Manages TIFF's Giving Circle, its yearly campaigns and events Writes compelling and meaningful messaging for supporters to connect to TIFF's mandate and mission Collaborates with Communications, Marketing, and Creative, manages the production of digital and print collateral/communications as required Develops presentation decks, proposals, and gift agreements as needed for Leadership supporters


Supporter Retention Delivers superior donor stewardship, to retain and upgrade support including prompt thank you calls; timely renewals; strategic monthly conversions; and, gift upgrades Writes and produces compelling communications that spotlight and share the impact of donor support Ensures accurate and consistent information is entered in Raiser's Edge Acts as an internal champion of the Advancement Department to support a culture of philanthropy at TIFF and implement strategic ideas across all departments


Reporting & Analysis Participates in analysis of supporters to identify giving trends and identify new, potential revenue opportunities Completes regular review and analysis of campaign testing and tactics, to provide recommendations for future campaigns.
Develops impact reports to donors for regular communication to TIFF's supporters and nonsupporters


JOB GRADE & SALARY OR RATE OF PAY:

  • Job Grade 3
  • Job Grade Salary Range/Annually ($60,000
  • $78,000)

WORK LOCATION:

Office Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5 Weekly in office requirements:
  • Minimum 2 days (November to May)
Minimum 3 days (June to October) Festival Office Requirements: Full Time during Festival


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate or undergraduate degree in arts administration, fundraising, or other related field is preferred Minimum 3 years of experience in fundraising, development and/or direct marketing Ability to think of big, creative ideas for campaign approaches and strategies Executes on ideas with excellent organizational & project management abilities, attention to detail and followthrough Exceptional written communication skills specifically persuasive and creative copywriting Ability to learn quickly, take initiative and to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance projects and strategies Proven skills in multitasking, problemsolving and decision making within a fast paced environment Responds to change with flexibility, nimbleness, and a positive attitude Commitment to professional development, AFP Code of Conduct and Donor Bill of Rights. Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends This position requires being in office on a regular basis.
