    As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.

  • Required Qualifications:

    Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).

    Additional Required Qualifications:

    This is a Laboratory only position, Diagnostic Imaging is not included.Working within a team environment, good interpersonal skills, core lab experience within the last 3 years, effective time management and the ability to set priorities are necessary. Excellent communication skills both written and oral are required. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be adaptable and flexible within an environment of change and interruptions. Must be able to represent Laboratory Medicine in a respectful, professional and courteous manner.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience performing phlebotomy and working with Ortho Chemistry analyzer, ACL Elite pro, XNL-550, ID-MTS Gel, Clinitek Advantus and Meditech LIS. St Paul will implement EPIC LIS in Launch 7 (Nov 2023).
