Human Resources Business Partner

(Permanent Position)

Role Overview:

Working with senior business leaders, Business Partners lead the planning, development and execution of medium/long term people strategies that progress the business strategy and maximize the value for all stakeholders.

Business Partners, in collaboration with business leaders, enhance the employee experience.

Business Partners will leverage analytics to identify gaps and develop response plans, challenge the status quo and continuously work with our partners to improve our processes and systems to deliver optimal HR solutions.


Responsibilities:

Drive the Talent Management Strategy for the business area through the following processes:
  • Succession Planning: Lead the succession planning discussions to develop robust succession plans and leadership pipelines. Track key metrics, assess risk of plans & identify action plans to mitigate risks.
  • Employee Engagement & Retention
  • leverage multiple data sources to identify key areas of focus to increase employee engagement and retention. Collaborate with HR teams to drive improvement efforts.


Lead large scale organizational restructures - Identify opportunities to architect effective and dynamic organizational designs and development interventions, promoting efficiency and team engagement.

Assess impact of restructurings/changes on the organization. Oversee restructuring/change projects, ensuring financial viability and mitigating legal risk.


Change Management - Provide change management support on change initiatives within the business including organization design, transition planning and communication support to deliver required outcomes.

Identify the need for changing mindsets and behaviors related to change to deliver on strategy; Partner with area leaders to leverage best practices of change management to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of change implementation.

Desired Experience:


  • 7+ years experience of breadth and depth across HR processes and includes time in a client facing role with a demonstrated record of accomplishment of results and experience in a strategic capacity. Demonstrated capability to influence decisions and direction for the appropriate business outcome. Demonstrated capability of developing proposals with key, relevant analyses, concise recommendations and securing buyin from senior leadership. Demonstrated resilience and ability to pivot in new directions. Demonstrated strategic thinking capability including having the ability to see the big picture, imagine future scenarios, and can create strategies or solutions to solve problems or bring change to meet or exceed business objectives.

Desired Qualifications:


  • University Degree considered an asset.
  • CHRP/CHRL designation considered an asset.

Work Environment:


  • Office environment with sone plant exposure.
  • This position is eligible for remote work in accordance with our current remote work policy.

Hours of Work:


  • Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads.
