Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on vehicles.
Test all systems or components ensuring they are secure and working properly.

Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems.

Watch or inspect parts such as: hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, and other possible troublesome items.
Use power tools, common hand tools and Acetylene torch and welders.
Demonstrate and champion a healthy and safe work environment.
Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.

Professional Experience / Qualifications

5+ years experience within the automotive industry.
Ability to diligently organize work, make decisions, and set priorities.
Valid driver's license
Strong interpersonal skill
Complete and pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must hold ticket or have equivalent working experience.

Preference will be given to individuals with their Interprovincial trade qualifications in Automotive Mechanics (Red Seal Certification).

Compensation

$30.00 -$38.00/hr based on education and experience.
