    About this role

    We are recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join our Burnaby office. Here's how your role will strengthen our team.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of the company's payroll function (Union and Hourly payrolls), and for the timely and accurate delivery of payroll and related client service, including recordkeeping and reporting.

    Your responsibilities

  • Prepare and process the bi-weekly payroll for union and hourly in JDE EnterpriseOne
  • Review Union contracts for payroll effects and implementation
  • Time sheet collection, entry, and data verification
  • Handle reporting and remitting regulatory payments, , WCB, Union
  • Reconcile year-end payroll records and prepare T4's
  • Prepare termination payments and Records of Employment
  • Prepare payroll journals and accruals
  • Your experience and skills

  • Minimum 5 years of solid payroll experience
  • Experience using an ERP system, experience with JDE an asset
  • Experience in a Union Environment an asset
  • Exceptional knowledge of payroll and accounting practices and principles
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel
  • Able to adapt to a fast paced and high volume environment
  • Superior teamwork skills complemented by the ability to work well independently
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to speak, read and write English fluently
  • Highly organized, detail orientated with the ability to problem solve
