Longawaited Acres/Lach Sod Farms is a family run business operating since 1955. We are the premier mineral sod supplier for Winnipeg & area, serving both commercial & residential customers.

JOB PROFILE:_Reporting to the Dispatcher, the Truck Driver is responsible for ensuring accurate, efficient and timely delivery of sod; while providing courteous, quality-conscious customer oriented service.

Responsibilities and Duties
The job includes, but is not limited to the following:

Delivers loads of sod (on pallet) as assigned by dispatcher
Load sod, tarp and strap in preparation for delivery
Operate piggyback forklift
Pick up parts, supplies and pallets as a backhaul for delivery (when necessary)
Communicate effectively and efficiently with dispatcher during deliveries
Truck care and maintenance
Perform daily pretrip and weekly truck /trailer inspections
Maintains accurate log book
Performs all paperwork according to business requirements

Qualifications and Skills

Grade 12 or equivalent; clean driver's abstract; Positive work ethic and attitude; willingness and ability to learn; strong team and interpersonal skills; Self motivated - able to work independently; Demonstrate a commitment to customer service.

Class 3 license required

Hours: 50-55 per week average

Status:
Seasonal Full Time (start right away)

Wage is dependent upon experience & qualifications
