    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Maintenance Training Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the proficiency and skill development of our maintenance staff. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive training programs that enhance the technical capabilities of our maintenance team, enabling them to effectively maintain and troubleshoot our facilities and equipment. The Maintenance Training Coordinator will collaborate with various subject matter experts to identify training needs, create engaging training materials, organize training sessions, and assess the effectiveness of the training programs.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the maintenance teams to identify training needs based on evolving technologies, equipment updates, and industry best practices.
  • Design, develop, and update training programs, courses, and materials that align with maintenance skill requirements and organizational objectives.
  • Understanding of a variety of training methods, including workshops, e-learning modules, hands-on sessions, and presentations, to deliver effective and engaging training content.
  • Organize regular training sessions for maintenance staff, both new hires and existing employees, ensuring all training activities are well-coordinated and timely.
  • Implement evaluation mechanisms, such as quizzes, assessments, and hands-on tests, to measure trainees' knowledge retention and skill proficiency.
  • Analyze training results and gather feedback to continuously improve training content and methodologies.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to maintenance and training, and integrate this knowledge into training materials.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accurate and up-to-date technical information is incorporated into training materials.
  • Maintain training records and documentation, including attendance, performance evaluations, and training completion certificates.
  • Support the development of a culture of continuous learning within the maintenance team by promoting ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Liaise with external training providers or vendors as necessary to supplement training efforts.
  • Assist in the creation of maintenance-related standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
  • Qualifications:

  • Degree in Education, Learning and Development, Communication, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent ability to create engaging and effective training materials.
  • Proficiency in utilizing a variety of training methods and tools, including e-learning platforms and content creation software.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to coordinate and execute training programs.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, GMail, Forms, Slides, etc.)
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess training effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) and training administration tools is a plus.
  • Certifications in training and development or maintenance-related fields are advantageous.
