Vancouver Health Office Business Leader:


The Vancouver Health Office Business Leader (OBL) leads and has overall P&L accountability for the Vancouver office within the Canadian health business, Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB), including budgeting, staffing and strategy.

Critical to success in this role is a laser-like focus on achieving revenue growth, sales growth and colleague engagement targets.

Directly reporting to the Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB) National Leader, the Vancouver Health Office Business Leader (OBL) will also support closely the Office Leader in enabling the office to achieve its targets.

We will count on you to provide:

  • Define and implement the long-term business strategy at the market level in alignment with global and regional strategy, contributing to the financial success of the business and market overall
  • Manage client revenue levels by ensuring profitable client relationships are formed and maintained
  • Support and drive sales efforts and revenue generation within the region
  • Establish and maintain market contacts, interacts with financial and HR executives, Csuite members, and other members of the business community
  • Support and drive sales efforts and revenue generation within the region
  • Generate revenue through acquisition of new clients, crossselling to current clients and extending current client engagements
  • Lead key client engagements, directing the work of the project team, developing strategic solutions that address client needs and issues
  • Manage overall service delivery, clarify and resolve unique and difficult issues related to client deliverables
  • Provide direction and focus, holds staff accountable, and drives engagement through frequent communication and dialogue
  • Hire, manage, develop and evaluate a team of professionals, providing effective performance feedback and career development opportunities
  • Contribute to initiatives within the business, and contribute to market presence

What you need to have:


  • Bachelor degree
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the benefits/client service/people management environment with proven ability to generate revenue by acquiring new clients and experience managing and developing a team of professionals
  • Strong sales and communication skills plus the ability to market successfully
  • Renowned expertise and industry reputation in the health and benefits field
  • Excellent organizational, project management and leadership skills
