    Lead 442A Industrial Electrician to join our team NRT is the leader in the devulcanization and reformulation of innovative and unique recycled rubber materials, compounds, and OEM-manufactured goods.

    The
    Lead 442A Industrial Electrician will play a major role in all of our electrical projects.

    The ideal candidate will have seasoned experience working as an electrician in an industrial setting, will be able to work in a busy environment, be able to prioritize and multitask electrical projects, as well as work under pressure and meet deadlines.

    They will also play a vital role in teaching and mentoring our up-and-coming electrical apprentices.

    In addition to this, the following are some 'must have' qualifications:


    Qualifications and Skillset:

    Must hold a valid 442A Industrial Electrical/Electronics Technician License.

    Must possess a minimum of 1-year previous experience in a manufacturing industry.

    Must have a strong knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code and legislative standards.

    Must be able to read electrical schematics, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications.

    Must possess arc flashing and live electrical training.

    LOTO/Aerial Work Platform training is an asset.

    Must be able to carry out industrial installations including EMT and rigid conduit, wire, and associated equipment.

    Must be able to build custom electrical control panels from prints.

    Must possess knowledge of VFD's and other various controllers.

    Strong understanding of PLC's, Siemens, Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley safety controls, and associated field wiring.

    Excellent attendance and time-management skills.

    Able to work as part of a team, as well as independently.

    Possess a positive attitude and strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with the rest of the maintenance team.

    Thorough attention to detail and detailed checks of all electrical work performed.

    Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

    Ensure that all electrical work aligns with health and safety protocols and PPE is always worn.


    Duties & Responsibilities:


    Meet daily with the electrical team to discuss day-to-day operations including prioritizing work and coordinating the tasks which are planned for the shop.


    Ensure the smooth operation of electrical systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting problems on conveyors, programmable controllers, transformers, voltage regulators, and machinery wiring.


    Install new machines and equipment by installing power supply wiring and conduit to and between machines and equipment, using hand tools and test equipment.

    Program automated machinery.

    Ensure proper detailed documentation of electrical duties are logged in the maintenance work order system.


    Repair and replace electrical systems and equipment as necessary by diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, determining faulty wiring, inspecting and testing malfunctioning machinery.


    Control and minimize downtime by informing management and production workers of routine electrical preventive maintenance plans and try to coordinate according to production demands.


    Prepare electrical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends, while making recommendations as necessary for improvements to management.

    Work collaboratively with the H&S Safety manager to implement safe practices and repairs.

    This is a full-time day shift position that works Monday-Friday, with occasional overtime on Saturdays and availability may be required for call-ins after hours depending on maintenance requirements.

    Possible shift changes may arise, depending on the needs of the company, as we operate days, afternoons and midnights.
