Reporting to the Director, Digital Strategy, the
Project Manager, Marketing and Communications leads the planning, management, and execution of Shaftesbury marketing campaign projects, including digital, brand, communications and experiential marketing activities.

Working cross-functionally with Development, Production and Broadcast Partners, this role identifies the skills and resources necessary to complete campaigns on time and within budget.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work handinhand with Marketing, Development, Production and Broadcast Partners to flawlessly deliver bestinclass campaigns.
  • Work with internal teams to initiate marketing projects, define the scope of work, document key deliverables and timelines.
  • Accurately interpret business requirements and build project plans to deliver on objectives.
  • Strategize and proactively recommend new opportunities and improvements of existing marketing and communicating projects.
  • Manage and track marketing budgets, cost reports, deal memos.
  • Oversee funder campaign reporting (e.g., CMF DMs).
  • Effectively manage project communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Foster a highly collaborative marketing and communications environment while embracing the plans and processes of the wider organization.
  • Be the daytoday lead on marketing activities including scheduling, resourcing, stakeholder communication and approvals.
  • Drive efficiencies and optimize timelines and development throughout the life of projects.
  • Ensure project activity dates are properly maintained and reflect actual versus planned results.
  • Facilitate status meetings and maintain campaign deployment information and marketing calendars.
  • Assist with award submissions, including drafting any entry written requirements, tracking submission spending, and keeping an updated calendar of upcoming award deadlines.
  • Stay abreast of competitive company projects, activities, as well as industry trends and seeking new opportunities for driving awareness of Shaftesbury's key and corporate brands.
  • Support ad hoc projects, including talent relations and events and other responsibilities, as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • University or college undergraduate degree in a marketing and communications related field.
  • 5+ years experience in managing creative and gotomarket campaigns.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to present information in an organized, logical, and effective manner to a wide variety of audiences including senior leadership.
  • Ability to think analytically and strategically.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian media industry an asset.
  • Experience with film, TV or digital production an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to continually prioritize and multitask in a sometimes unpredictable environment
  • Ability to collaborate, with strong social and relationshipbuilding skills.
  • Proven ability to execute on marketing and communications strategic direction to diverse leaders, influence key stakeholders, and collaborate with teams to organize, coordinate, and deliver complex campaigns as well as a highvolume of tasks.
  • Solid understanding of production and the creative development process, experience design, technology, quality assurance testing and marketing methodologies.
  • Experience in bottomup scoping of projects, creating project budgets, tracking actuals, and creating statements of work.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
