- Assist the Front Office Manager on daily hotel operations of all areas of the hotel, oversee, develop departmental liaison on interdepartmental standards with Front Office, Night Audit, Reservations, Food & Beverage Department, Housekeeping Department and Maintenance Department.
- Oversee the Front Office department and provide support and leadership to all staff, develop and monitor operation and culture of the department, also covering the front desk shift where needed.
- Contribute to achieving the loyalty of our guests by exceeding their expectations and providing warm personal service.
- Handle guest complaints and comments in a professional manner and provide the follow up required to co-workers and Managers.
- Able to instruct, direct and take control in emergency situations.
- Conduct training regarding safety, hotel procedures and service guidelines.
- Fulfill Manager on Duty responsibilities.
- Build, engage and empower a strong service oriented team and create a positive work environment with all hotel staff.
- Responsible of all meeting contracts, arrangements of facilities.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Maintain responsibility and accountability for the hotel property and the safety of guests, and have authority for the hotel operations while on duty.
- Achieving and maintaining necessary Heartbeat Satisfaction Scores throughout the year.
- Ensuring the safety and well being of our guests and colleagues by maintaining knowledge of crisis and emergency procedures; as well as Fire Panel /Evacuation procedures.
- Maintain Holiday Inn Express & Suites Edmonton South standards, InterContinental Hotels brand standards, policies and procedures.
- Maintain hotel's operating budget, costs and expenditure.
- Notify the Front Office Manager of any unusual incident as instructed or otherwise deemed necessary regarding operation and/or safety & security of the hotel and guest.
- Minimum 2-3 years hotel front office experience required and must be flexible to work.
- Must be hands on management; present a professional attitude always.
- Able to work shifts on any day is absolutely required including weekends and holidays.

Job Summary:Holiday Inn Express & Suites Edmonton South is currently hiring a Front Office Supervisor for full-time to supervise the daily front office duties and front desk team. You will be responsible for insuring 100% satisfaction from the moment a guest arrives at the hotel until they check out. Greet guests, perform all check-in and check-out functions, disburse room keys and inform guests about hotel amenities, facilities and services. Accommodate guest requests, answer telephones, making reservations post charges and handle cash and credit card transactions. A delivery of highest guest satisfaction disposition is mandatory.
