Job Description:


Marketing Specialist


At Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, our Marketing professionals are ambassadors of the engaging service and authentically local experiences we offer in places of unrivalled presence.

Showcase your creative flair, organizational and interpersonal skills as Marketing Coordinator, where you will grow our market share with exciting promotional campaigns and collateral that showcase our exceptional guest offerings and special events.


What you will be doing:


  • Coordinate advertising, marketing and promotional initiatives adhering to corporate and property standards
  • Assist in maintaining the hotel's websites. Experience with Wordpress or other CMS is preferred
  • Assist the property and regional content teams with social mediadriven marketing initiatives and content creation. Responsibilities include developing social assets, copywriting messaging, posting and responding
  • Assist in developing and maintaining onproperty 4 wall digital and printed collateral
  • Assist the marketing team in planning, developing and executing marketing for hotel events and activities. Event attendance for social coverage, asset capture and general assistance will sometimes be required
  • Assist with photo and video shoots for property, room renovations, F&B, destination content and special events
  • Attend all Sales and Marketing meetings and other meetings as necessary
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:


You're experience and skills include:


  • 13 years' of marketing experience required
  • Experience and understanding of tourism and hospitality preferred
  • Social Media and online savvy well versed in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn
  • Imaginative, creative, out of the box thinker
  • Highly organized with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience with using web CMS platforms including WordPress, Squarespace or Wix an asset
  • Photography experience is an asset
  • Must be resultsoriented with the ability to be flexible and adaptable
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential
  • Bachelors Degree and/or Hotel Management Degree with focus on marketing hospitality an asset
  • Graphic Design skills an asset
  • A team player with a positive attitude
  • A love for Whistler and a passion for sharing it with the world
