The Cambridge HR Team is looking for our newest addition


As an HR Generalist, you will provide comprehensive support to the organization in the areas of disability management and claims coordination for both occupational and non-occupational accidents/injuries.

You will be responsible for creating and overseeing a claims management system and implementing effective return to work programs.

Your role will involve working closely with employees, healthcare providers, and external agencies to ensure safe and timely reintegration into the workplace, while continuously improving the claims management performance through proactive prevention programs.


Responsibilities Include:


  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and management regarding claims management inquiries, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Coordinate with injured workers in Ontario and BC and facilitate recovery at work, and modified duties.
  • Partner with branches to obtain up to date availability of modified duties positions and prepare offers of return to work.
  • Work with officials in making decisions to prevent, reduce and control workers' compensation claims and administration costs for Ontario and BC locations.
  • Work closely on Claims cost saving initiatives, educating managers on early and safe RTW.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with medical professionals, WSIB and WorkSafe BC, LTD providers, and other relevant parties to ensure the exchange of claim information and coordination of returntowork efforts.
  • Maintain awareness of both federal and provincial workers' compensation statutes, regulations or jurisprudence that impact claims management.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 12 years of employee relations, disability management, and return to work programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to exercise judgement, tact, and discretion in preparing, disclosing, and handling information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations, disability management principles, and Occupational Health and Safety and Worker's Compensation Legislation.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision.
