Cable Installation Technician
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cable Installation Technician to join our team in Edmonton.

As a Cable Installation Technician, you will assist our Technicians in installing cables, hardware, and associated equipment in large building complexes, construction sites, and potentially larger projects.

This is a full-time contract position with the possibility of long-term employment.


Responsibilities:

• Assist Technicians in installing CAT 5 and 6 cables and conducting termination and testing.
• Conduct installation and testing of fiber optic cables.
• Complete raceway and conduit installations for effective cable management.
• Demonstrate proficiency in finding cable pathways in various structures.
• Work collaboratively with the team and follow instructions diligently.
• Exhibit strong problemsolving abilities to overcome technical challenges.
• Capable of working from a 10ft ladder to access higher points for installation.
• Must be physically fit and able to carry up to 75lbs of equipment.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain current WHMIS and First Aid certifications.

Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• At least 1 year of experience in cable installation.
• Proficiency in CAT 5 and 6 termination and testing.
• Familiarity with fiber optic cable installation and testing procedures.
• Ability to install raceways and conduits for organized cable management.
• Must currently reside in Edmonton or its immediate vicinity.
• Strong ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
