We are currently looking to expand into the mining major projects with a great opportunity to build a successful core team from the ground up by ensuring we have the right people, in the right place, at the right time.

About the Project

The project is located in Geraldton, Ontario, 280 kms NE of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Camp accommodations are provided as well as transportation to and from the camp to site. The shift is 14/7, working 10 hrs/day. OT is paid after 8 hrs/day and on Saturdays, Sundays, and Statutory Holidays. A travel allowance is provided.

Role Purpose

To assist our projectbased Superintendents and Managers to plan Electrical and Instrumentation Industrial Construction Field Installation Work Packages (FIWPs).

Responsibilities

Understanding of Electrical and Instrumentation construction workflow and how it interacts with other construction trades.
Understanding the structure of Engineered drawings, specs, details, standards, etc. for the project.
Oversee building of Field Installation Work Packages (FIWP's) in paper and electronic formats and that they comply with schedule, engineered drawings, estimates, safety policies and procedures, etc. Ensuring packages are electronically filed, maintained, and stored as per company/project requirements.
Ensuring the construction team is set up for success with correct information, materials, tools, equipment, etc.
Maintaining markedup master set of current engineered drawings, with uptodate progress.
Detect any discrepancies and missing information from IFC and Vendor Package drawings and information

Qualifications & Experience:

Electrical Journeyperson ticket, Engineering Tech Diploma, or Electrical P.Eng.
5+ years of industrial construction experience.
Experience on major projects in the petrochemical oil, gas, mining and power sectors working for an EPCM contractor.
Indepth and broad understanding of Industrial Electrical and Instrumentation construction and installation.
Proficient in MS Excel and Bluebeam. Well versed in other MS Word and Outlook.
Ability to read/understand engineered drawings, specs, details, standards, etc.
Knowledgeable with construction schedules.
High level of attention to detail.
Works well in a group/team setting as well as alone.
Organized and manages time well. Able to prioritize workflow.
Strong technical and analytical skills.
