JD Smith is currently recruiting several full-time General Labourers for our facility in Stoney Creek. Hours of work are 6:00am - 2:30pm Monday through Friday. Flexibility to occasionally work afternoon shifts is an asset.


Reporting to the VAS Supervisor, the General Labourer performs a variety of warehouse duties in support of our Value-Added Service to our customers.





NOTE:
Applicants MUST complete the assessment (which will be sent after you apply) to be considered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Repalletizing various products for displayready pallets
  • Banding finished pallets
  • Constantly monitoring for nonconforming product when building displays
  • Packaging orders for shipment
  • Following safety standards
  • General cleaning during and at end of shift
  • Performing general warehouse duties
  • Operating packaging machinery (or willingness to learn)

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Warehouse experience
  • Highly dependable with superior attendance record
  • Strong communication skills
  • Solid problemsolving skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and remain focused under pressure
- "own" the role / a "can do" attitude

  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with shrink wrapping is an asset

Salary:
