Singleton Reynolds is nationally-recognized law firm serving the construction and infrastructure, insurance, commercial litigation, real estate and corporate needs of Canada's business community from our office in Toronto and Vancouver.


Our Vancouver office is seeking a talented individual to work with our Legal Talent team, supporting the recruiting, management, and professional development of the firm's law students and lawyers.

This role works closely with the Directors of Legal Talent and Research & Knowledge Management to provide market-leading legal talent management and continuing legal education.


Responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support to the Legal Talent Department, including correspondence, organization, filling, and other administrative duties
  • Organizing and coordinating student recruitment operations, including recruiting events, interviews, and offer letters
  • Meeting the administrative requirements of summer and articling student onboarding and orientation programs
  • Interacting with the Law Societies of British Columbia and Ontario regarding licensing process requirements, registrations and filings
  • Acting as an additional point of contact for summer students and articling students in relation to all Firm precedents and protocols and being knowledgeable to answer effectively
  • Liaise with the Law Societies as necessary to ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements for students and principals
  • Assisting with administering the Firm's Student evaluation process(es), and the annual Associate evaluation and compensation review processes
  • Oversee the delivery of social event programs for Associates and Law Students, as appropriate
  • Assisting with the coordinating the internal continuing education program for lawyers; including accreditation of the programs, creating, sending and monitoring invitations to programs

Education & Experience:

  • 3 years' relevant experience in a professional environment
  • Experience in a law firm or professional services industry would be an asset

Skills & Abilities:

  • Superior organizational/document management skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude, strong clientservice orientation, and excellent relationshipbuilding skills; demonstrated ability to provide outstanding service to internal clients and external stakeholders
  • The ability to exercise sound judgment, handle stringent deadlines and work with a large volume of tasks, with interruptions and changing priorities
  • Collaborative approach and strong team player
  • Resultsdriven, resourceful, adaptable, and possessing a high level of critical and logical thinking
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with online forms and databases; experience with SharePoint and SmartSheet an asset
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Willing to learn and undergo inoffice training specific to the role
