Position Summary
The Team Lead / Assistant Manager supports daily operations, supervises cleaning teams, and helps maintain service quality across residential or commercial sites. This role balances leadership, hands-on cleaning, scheduling, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities
Operations and Leadership
- Lead and support cleaning staff on site
- Train new team members on procedures and safety standards
- Perform quality checks and ensure company standards are met
- Assist with scheduling and route planning
- Step in to clean when needed during staff shortages
Client Experience
- Communicate with clients professionally
- Handle minor service issues or complaints on site
- Report feedback or concerns to management
Team Management
- Monitor attendance and performance
- Support staff motivation and accountability
- Help enforce company policies and safety procedures
Administrative Support
- Track supplies and equipment needs
- Submit daily reports or job checklists
- Assist management with workflow improvements
Qualifications
- 2 plus years cleaning experience preferred
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience is an asset
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and vehicle required
- Ability to lift equipment and work on active job sites
Work Environment
- Mix of field work and light admin
- Flexible hours including evenings or weekends depending on contracts
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
