Role overview and purpose:
Do you have a passion for entrepreneurship and marketing? Come join our team Having launched 1,000 alumni and scaled 500+ ventures, NEXT Canada's mission is to uncover the next generation of entrepreneurs by providing them with access to education, mentorship and networking.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities across all our owned channels
- Ideate and prepare content for NEXT Canada social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok), and monitor community engagement across all channels
- Under the guidance of our Marketing and Creative Manager, develop creative content for NEXT Canada social media and blog
Content types to include:
copy, design, graphics and videos
- Monitor the impact of each owned channel and ensure effective tracking and reporting of targeted marketing efforts
- Assist with event planning and execution of internal and external initiatives
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis, both locally and nationally to help the team in understanding trends
- Broader work or accountabilities with other internal teams may be assigned as needed
Desired skills and qualifications:
- Demonstrated interest in marketing and passion for entrepreneurship
- Wellversed with social media and experience with content creation a plus, even if not professionally
- Excellent written and oral interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency working in a Mac environment and Google esuite
- Flexible, adaptable and collaborative team player
- Strong organization and planning skills
