Metro Community Housing Association is a non-profit, community-based agency that provides support and residential services to persons who have experienced mental health difficulties.
Residential Counsellors are responsible for supporting clients in all aspects of daily living, follow consistent IPPs and Behaviour Modification programs, provide medication monitoring, attend appointments with clients, accompany clients on recreation outings and complete required documentation.
You will be successful in this role if you are respectful to everyone you support and work with, put clients needs first, have a good sense of professional boundaries, possess good judgement, and have an innate ability to make people feel good.

Education and Experience
Required
- Completed postsecondar education in Human Services (Psychology, Sociology, etc.) or related field
OR 2 years related experience in an RRW level position. - Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, online training)
- Completion of Core Competencies

- Understanding of mental health disorders and symptoms

- Ability to maintain confidentiality
