Reload operation is part of Ciena's AOL (Asset On Loan) program wherein Research and Development labs are able to borrow the Ciena's latest hardware's/products/units from the manufacturing factories for a period of time for the purpose of soak testing, product verification, new programs, etc.


The Reload technician will perform AOL inventory management and technical work of the said Ciena units which will eventually be returned to the finished goods/warehouse for customer orders.


Responsibilities:


  • 60% inventory management
  • 40% technical work

General Activities:


  • Perform AOL units receipt and management including lab swaps or deployment
  • Conducts regular lab scanning and location updates
  • Complete reload/recert tests as per specific engineering documents
  • Identification of failed cards (physical or software related) and problem reporting
  • Physical card inspection and minor repair work
  • Repack/rebox cards to Class A standard

Experience:


  • Microsoft Office tools
  • Troubleshooting, analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
  • Flexible and adaptable to continuous changing demands
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player
