Mission
Join the building electrical systems' team in Ottawa.

As a draftsperson in building electrical systems, you will prepare drawings in the framework of projects involving electrical systems in buildings.

You will be involved in regional and provincial projects of small, medium, and large scale in the residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors.

You will collaborate with the other members of your highly qualified team in the development of solutions adapted to clients' needs.

You will be able to rapidly evolve in an environment where empowerment, autonomy and trust are strongly encouraged, without leaving the comfort of your home, as you will enjoy flexible working conditions (hybrid or telework).

Primary responsibilities

Establish and maintain good management of AutoCAD and REVIT drawings
Collaborate in the conceptualization of 2D and 3D drawings in the framework of building electrical projects
Collaborate with the conceptualization and design team including Engineers and Technologists
Use AutoCAD and REVIT to create and design electrical drawings from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures
Review drawings to ensure completeness and accuracy
Perform changes, additions or revisions to drawings as required
Carry out field data collection

Profile

Postsecondary diploma in building drawing or Electrical Engineering/Technologist
Experience in building drawing or electrical drafting is considered an asset
Prior drafting experience in consulting engineering is considered as an asset
Knowledge in basic engineering calculation is preferred
Excellent knowledge of REVIT and AutoCAD software
Knowledge of the MS Office suite
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects within a fast paced environment
Command of the French and English language (spoken and written)
