***The Business Strategy Manager (BSM) works with other members of the strategy team to support the development implementation, and integration of our strategic framework and decision making into financial planning and execution. This role will also promote and support NFI's play-to-win strategy framework development and deployment for the central group function and all company business units.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:


  • Facilitate and support strategy development and deployment with NFI Group functions and all business units.
  • Coordinate and conduct data acquisition, research, and analysis required for the exploration of potential growth initiatives.
  • Support the planning, approval, controlling and execution of key strategy deployment projects within NFI Group functions and all business units.
  • Work directly with corporate and business unit leadership, as well as external consultants in the evaluation and determination of potential structures, acquisitions, partnerships, and joint ventures that NFI Group may pursue.
  • Contribute to the development of business case reporting to support key strategic decisions.
  • Assist in the coordination and preparation of materials required for NFI Group business/function Annual Operating Plans and Long-Range Plans.
  • Support the NFI Group strategy team in the development of reporting information for internal and external communications including company leadership team quarterly meetings (LT huddle), NFI's Strategy office information for Board meetings, Management meetings, NFI Investor's Day and any other meetings as required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Post-secondary education in Business or Engineering
  • 3 to 5 years' relevant experience in corporate strategy and knowledge of business development
  • Proven ability to work with sophisticated and ambiguous data and draw insight and make decisions linked to business outcomes
  • Project management experience
  • High degree of organizational skills with a great attention to detail
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional data analysis and research skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling
  • A financial designation (CPA, CFA, CBV) or an engineering background considered an asset
  • Up to 25% of travel is required for this position._
