Associate Producer, CTV Montreal, Bell Media

Job Status:
Regular-Ful time

Salary:
Cooleective Agreement Unifor 614M, Grade 12

Work Conditions: 40 hours per week (including evenings and weekends). Overtime as required

Responsibilities:

Propose stories
Research, write and edit content for broadcast and digital platforms
Write comprehensive editorial background briefs
Conduct interviews
May be required to line up news programs
May be required to perform onair or go into the field
Adhere to editorial guidelines and policies on accuracy and ethics
Other duties as assigned

Critical Qualifications:

Story generating experience
Proven writing skills
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain creativity in a high pressure, deadline oriented environment
Sound editorial judgement
Excellent knowledge of local news and current affairs
Team player, strong communication skills; highly organized and selfmotivated
Show Producing (lineup) experience would be an asset
BA in Journalism or equivalent, minimum 5 years working in a major market newsroom
Bilingualism is required (English and French): Interactions with English speaking customers or people outside of Quebec
