Belmar Dermatology and Cosmetics_ is looking for someone who is a fast learner, has a friendly demeanor and thrives under pressure to join our new clinic in Hamilton. While experience is also important, we are really looking for someone who is able to communicate professionally and clearly, address issues as they arise and wants to grow with our clinic.


Position start date:

• Immediately

Hours:

• Full time position: Mon-Friday 8:305:00 pm
• Longer shifts may be necessary occasionally

Qualifications:

• Canadian certified Physician Assistant (or other Canadianrecognized health care programs)

Or

• International medical graduate

Or

• Equivalent mix of education and experience

Skills:

-
Competency with technology is a must, including troubleshooting minor IT issues.

• Experience with EMR (Accuro) preferred, or ability to learn new EMR software quickly.
• Excellent command of oral and written English.
• Eager to learn and grow with our clinic.
• Interested in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.
• Experience with medical billing in Ontario is an asset.

Job duties:

• Complete patient medical history & physical examination
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, xrays, ultrasounds, etc.)
• Fill out biopsy requisition and follow up with patients about results
• Provide treatment plans and diagnosis
• Educate and counsel patients on medical and cosmetics issues
• Assist during dermatological procedures
• Collaborate with the physician and healthcare team
• Responding, forwarding and answering patient messages
• Sending referrals
• Assisting physician with paperwork (notes, billing, etc)
• Assist with any other duties required at the clinic in some occasions
• Administrative duties (answering the phone and scheduling)
• Cleaning rooms in between patients
• Assuring all examination rooms have appropriate supplies

Salary:

• Starting at $2,700 a month and up, depending on experience

/hour depending on experience

• Paid as monthly salary, exact hours are usually not logged
• High potential for increase in the future
