Pacific Northern Gas Ltd.

(PNG), a subsidiary of TriSummit Utilities Inc., owns and operates natural gas transmission and distribution systems in British Columbia's lower Peace River, west central, and north coast regions.

PNG's western transmission line extends from the Enbridge gas transmission system north of Prince George along the Highway 16 and Highway 37 south corridors to Terrace and then onto the port communities of Kitimat and Prince Rupert, providing transportation and gas services to twelve communities and a number of industrial facilities.

In the Province's northeast, Pacific Northern Gas (N.E.) Ltd. provides gas transmission and distribution service in the Dawson Creek, Fort St. John and Tumbler Ridge areas.


Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator leverages best practices and technology to recruitment and administrative support for the Human Resources team.


As a member of HR team, we often wear many hats, so this is an exciting opportunity for a recent HR program graduate who is looking to advance their talent attraction skills while also gaining exposure to other HR disciplines.


We are looking for a self-motivated team player with a strong sense of ownership and a "get stuff done" attitude.

If you are detail-oriented and organized, like to be busy and productive, learn quickly, and have a track record of being adaptable in a high-growth environment this is the role for you.

This is a temporary position for approximately 4 months.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in all aspects of the recruitment process by coordinating job postings, reviewing resumes, performing reference checks, corresponding with applicants and coordinating new hire onboarding.
  • Maintain and update human resources files, records and documentation (scanning, filing, data entry, spreadsheets).
  • Performs audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed accordingly.
  • Utilize Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG), for all recruitment and documentation management activity to promote continuous improvement with system utilization and associated processes.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department.
  • Undertakes special assignments or projects as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Certificate, diploma or degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related discipline.
  • 2 years HR related, or administrative experience considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of fullcycle recruitment is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG), Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
