Description
This position is responsible for managing internal and external brand communications including executive communications, event support, media relations and corporate social responsibility communications.
Now, if you were to come on board as one of ourCorporate Communications Manager, we'd ask you to do the following for us:
- Write clean, concise communications on behalf of senior executives
- Assist in the drafting, preparation and proofreading of communications materials, such as internal communications, scripts, press releases, social media content and presentations
- Event planning corporate events such as town halls, large conferences
- Design and create materials for external and internal content, such as program announcements, presentations, newsletters, social graphics
- Support project management of communications initiatives; including all relevant deliverables associated with specific initiatives and management of the Compass Group Canada editorial calendar
- Manage Compass Group Canada brand guidelines and monitoring across the Canadian organization
- Support ongoing development of national Corporate Social Responsibility program
- Build relationships with our recognized charity partners to build program communications
- Maintain an awareness of national, regional and local societal issues relevant to our CSR programs and initiatives
- Support CGC brand, communications and media relations teams regarding CSR projects

- Minimum of five years working experience in a corporate communications role
- CSR or nonprofit experience
- University degree or diploma. PR/communications postgraduate diploma strongly preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as creative design capability
- Advanced MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), along with a willingness and ability to learn new software as required
- Event planning, management and execution experience
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Adobe Suite (such as InDesign and Illustrator)
- Understanding of Canadian media landscape
- Experience managing projects with multiple contributors and assets through to completion
- Fluent in Canadian French considered an asset
Salary:
From $80,000.00 per year

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
