As an
Adult, Youth, Childcare Worker at our
Therapeutic Home in Abbotsford, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a team that provides support, care, and mentorship to youth with complex mental health, behavioural challenges, and/or substance use.

This line is
40 hours/week, Sunday-Thursday, 7am-3pm OR Tuesday-Saturday, 7am-3pm

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary education in related field and/or equivalent experience working with atrisk youth or youth with special needs
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with youth with complex mental health and behavioural challenges
  • Ability to set strong boundaries and build appropriate rapport with youth
  • Clear, direct, and sensitive verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License
  • Current First Aid/CPR training
  • Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) or MANDT Training (will train those who require this)
  • Proof of COVID19 double vaccination record

A sample of what you'll be doing:

  • Wellness checks on clients, according to their safety plan
  • Performing household maintenance duties, preparing meals, administering medication
  • Encouraging and modelling acceptable social standards and setting and maintaining appropriate limits
  • Collaborating with the clinical team and providing input into assessments and youth care plans

Salary:
$24.00-$26.00/hour plus benefits
