We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Community Manager to join our team.


Responsibilities:
In this role, the Community Manager will report to the Executive Director and will support with the following areas:

  • Work closely with the Executive Director to develop growth strategies for programs and partners through marketing and communications.
  • Previous experience using Eventbrite, Hootsuite, Asana, Slack, Google Drive and other tools is a must.
  • Create and organize community workshops and events on behalf of the Centre, our members, and partners.
  • Host events, information sessions, and provide coworking support for prospective members.
  • Working closely with executive staff on ensuring growth and communications plan are coordinated with quarterly goals.
  • Respect individuals and their rights regardless of race, religious beliefs, colour, gender, physical and / or mental ability, citizenship status, family status, economic status, education level, age, ancestry or sexual orientation;
  • Improve member experience of the centre's programs and events.
  • Maintaining an indepth knowledge of the centre's mandate, programs and upcoming events
  • Support with space bookings for events, workshops, and programs for members and community partners/organizations.


In alignment with their own interests and expertise, the Community Manager is encouraged to share their ideas for program improvement, growth and better serving the community.


What You'll Bring:


  • A Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Marketing/Communications (or a related field) an MBA is a bonus.
  • 35 years of marketing and communications/outreach experience.
  • Passion for innovation, entrepreneurship, and community development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage various responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Proactive problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role (preferred but not required).
  • Knowledge of the Parkdale community and its entrepreneurial landscape is a plus.

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 10-15 per week


Salary:
From $30.00 per hour
