Position Summary

As an Operator you will be reporting to both the Yard & Warehouse Manager and Supervisor within our Varennes location.

The position is responsible for all general labour within the assigned operational area of either Warehouse (Returns/Shipping) Pre-Assembly or Reconditioning.

Assigned area can change intermittently as needed, due to business requirements.

Some Key Responsibilities

Assists in operational area assigned, performing daily general housekeeping and maintaining health & safety initiatives;

Warehouse Area:

Performs duties within the receiving/shipping area such as taking pictures of loaded material received and or shipped, unloading material to assigned workstations, packing items, and utilizing program to process returns;
Inspects and properly classifies and records material damaged from material received, placing returned equipment or parts in proper designated area while managing & labeling the logistics of all material;
Confirms proper disposal of all damaged/scrap material in accordance with policies and procedures;
Complies with Doka Stds. regarding bundling and stacking requirements, including quality, safety, accuracy, productivity, etc.
Counts & prepares formwork materials to match quantities required by client by accurately counting orders/returns daily;
Participates in all inventory counts processes held twice a year;
Relocates bins and/or material to initial location in the yard;
Generates reports or delivery notes as needed;
Manages tasks such as pushing, pulling, and lifting to upwards of 100lbs or more utilizing the appropriate equipment as needed (i.e. forklift, crane);

Reconditioning Area:

Cleans, scrapes and refaces panels. Also removes dents (or fixs bends) in materials;
Records consumables needed to make the repair as per Doka's standards & qualifications;
Uses Discos or company software to generate repair reports.

Pre-Assembly Area:

Builds custom formwork to exact specifications as per blueprints using various materials;
Operates a variety of power and hand tools (circular saw, drills, measuring tapes, planers, flushcutters, impact wrenches, etc.).
Abides by all safety standards when utilizing power/hand tools
