This position is a hybrid of work from home and purposeful in-office work and can be located in Toronto, Winnipeg or Laval.


Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Group Product, the
Product Analyst,
Group Insurance Product, will work closely with our business partners, delivery and development teams across the company to support projects and initiatives.

In the role of Product Analyst, you will:

  • Support the business stakeholders through detailed requirements gathering, data modeling and process mapping.
  • Liaise with internal and external development teams to develop functional and nonfunctional data requirement specifications.
  • Analyze existing systems and/or business processes to understand both the business environment that the systems support and the technical environment in which they operate.
  • Develop test scenarios, identify issues and provide traceability from requirements through development/configuration to delivery of process workflows and procedures.
  • Conduct functional, user acceptance testing and system integration testing.
  • Contribute to benefits realizations and change management procedures and policies.
  • Develop KPI's related to the business unit to measure overall effectiveness and efficiency of product initiatives, and develop meaningful reports and dashboards.
  • Compile and analyze financial information for the preparation and monitoring of capital and operation budgets and make recommendations regarding future budget needs.
  • Coordinate and review monthly and quarterly variance reports for different projects.
  • Develop or support strategies, initiate internal consultations, develop policies and present same.
  • Ensure appropriate information dissemination and briefings to Manager/Senior Management.
  • Support team members by contributing to the continual improvement of methods, tools and techniques that are related to the analysis function

In order to be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Deep expertise and understanding of the group benefits industry including funding arrangements and flex programs
  • 5+ years' experience providing strategic and innovative solutions to clients' complex benefits challenges in a client facing or consulting capacity
  • 3+ years of handson, progressive Business Analysis experience, ideally in financial services,
  • Group Benefits Associate (GBA) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation achieved or in progress
  • Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) in good standing or willingness to achieve within 90 days of joining People Corporation
  • Postsecondary education in a technology, business or finance related field.
  • Proficiency and comfort working with multichannel technology
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced environment
  • Capability with project management methodologies and tools to meet deadlines and provide deliverables
  • Strong business acumen and professionalism
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with differing audiences.
  • Superior analytical and mathematical skills, strategic planning, communication, and listening skills
  • Strong negotiation skills and an ability to manage interdepartmental work relationships.
  • Availability to travel on an as needed basis, including travel to corporate offices in other provinces, valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is required.
  • French language capabilities are an asset
