Developmental Service Worker (DSW)

WeeCare Pediatric Home Health Care is currently hiring a Part-time DSW. If you enjoy working as a private duty DSW in a home care environment, this is the job for you


Shift is Saturday (flexible times). Possibility to increase hours.
Duties

  • Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living
  • Observe and report on changes in child's condition to parent/guardian
  • Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transferring, and adaptive aids
  • Demonstrate understanding of child's needs and maximize abilities
  • Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child/parent/guardian
  • Respond to client/parent/guardian concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including child's equipment and belongings
  • Notify supervisor of any concerns impacting child's safety
  • Complete all other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:


  • Graduate of Developmental Service Worker program or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working with pediatrics
  • Current BLS certification
  • Vulnerable Sector Check within the past 12 months
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 3 per week


Salary:
$23.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Every Weekend
