***Dillon's Planning & Design group is looking for a
Junior Land Development Planner to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience.
As a Junior Land Development Planner, you are driven by tight deadlines in a fast-paced collaborative team environment.
Your strong time management and communication skills allow you to manage multiple tasks on a wide range of projects with varying client and project team needs.

Responsibilities:
Planning & Design
- Provide support to Planning Team members
- Assist with public and agency consultation programs
- Contribute to business development by building client relationships in the Greater Toronto Area and throughout Ontario and Canada including client interactions, networking, proposal preparation, and presentations
- Liaise with the public and agencies
- Travel to other business locations and Dillon offices for the purposes of executing your responsibilities, internal/external client relationship development, opportunity/project research, acquisition and project delivery
Learning and Development:
- Commit to selfdevelopment and ongoing learning and professional development
- Contribute to Dillon's corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees
Qualifications:
What you will need to succeed
- A degree in planning, geography or a related field
- Full membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) and the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) or able to attain full membership within three (3) years of accepting the position
- Valid Class "G" Driver's license
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Excel and database software
Experience:
- Understanding of land use planning and development, sustainable community design, urban redevelopment, and planning policy
- Experience in land development planning projects is an asset
- Demonstrated abilities in multidisciplinary teamwork
- Knowledge of the development industry and the land development approval process, and municipal planning policy
- Strong communication, report writing, organization and interpersonal skills
