Position Title:
Summer Student - Organizational Change and Project Management (4 or 8 Month Term)

P&C Next Gen - Calgary, AB


Position Summary:


The Organizational Change and Project Management Summer Student is responsible for providing exceptional support to our NextGen team in Parkland for a 4 or 8 month term.

As a member of the NextGen team, you will be working closely with the Director, People &Culture Next Gen and the Director, NextGen Program Office.

You will be assisting with day-to-day activities that include supporting change management execution plans and drafting internal/external communications.

The Organizational Change and Project Management Student will also be responsible for project management activities such as preparing presentations and tracking status updates on projects.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Supporting the NextGen Organizational Change Management (OCM) team by:
  • Providing support to multi-disciplinary project teams who are engaged on key company change initiatives.
  • Collaborating on the execution of change management plan(s) and associated activities including stakeholder analysis and management, organizational readiness assessments, change impact analysis, communications, and training.
  • Drafting internal/external communications and ensuring appropriate reviews and approvals are obtained.
  • Supporting the NextGen Project Management Office (PMO) by:
  • Providing administrative or operational support for projects or the program, including presentation preparation, tracking project statuses, and communications support.
  • Reaching out to stakeholders to clarify requests, coordinate meetings, and follow up on action items.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • You are available for a 4 or 8 month term beginning on or around May 202
  • You have exposure to change management.
  • You have exceptional interpersonal skills and possess natural leadership as demonstrated in academic and/or extracurricular activities.
  • You have highly developed verbal and written communication skills to enable you to thrive in a challenging and exciting work environment.
  • You are a creative and analytical thinker with some project management skills who is selfdriven and capable of working in a fastpaced environment.
  • You have tenacity and an entrepreneurial spirit and are passionate about seeking out winwin solutions.
  • You have strong MS Office skills including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • You will be part of a global team and must be able to work effectively through a high degree of collaboration and communication through inperson meetings and video conferences.
