    Full-Time Generalist Teacher

    at

    at Worsley Central School

    Worsley is a small farming community in northern Alberta located about 170 kms west of Peace River. Worsley School serves students from grades K-12.

    One Full-Time (1.00 f.t.e.) Generalist Teacher isrequired commencing August 28, 2024 and continuing until June 30, 2025. The initial assignment may include Language Arts and Social Studies (grades 6-9) as well as Phys. Ed (grades K-12). Some flexibility in assignment exists depending on the successful applicant's talents and interests.

    Qualifications:

    Experience and/or knowledge or experience working with multi-grade classrooms

    Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and educational assistants to ensure student success

    Proven ability to differentiate lessons and assessment to support students' achievement

    Skills:

    Strong classroom management skills

    Excellent communication skills with students, staff and parent

    Ability to contribute to a positive, safe and caring learning environment

    An understanding of rural community and culture

    Willingness to support school sports programs and/or coaching is considered an asset. Division housing may be available for Worsley Central School staff.

    Requirements:

    Must hold or be eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

    Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

    This teaching position falls under the Collective Agreement between the Alberta Teachers' Association and the Peace River School Division.

    Annual Salary Range:

    $ 62, 702 to $ 105, 996 (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers' Association and the Peace River School Division).

    Benefits:

    The following benefits are available to teaching staff when they commence a teaching position under contract and are working at a 0.20 FTE or greater in accordance with the collective agreement between the ATA and the Peace River School Division
